A Fantasy Supplement for Troika!

If you ever wanted to play Troika in a more pure swords-and-sorcery fantasy setting, this is a supplement designed to make that fun and easy to jump right into. Perfect for going on more traditional combat-oriented campaigns and dungeon delves. No two characters will be quite alike, as each race has many options to make them unique, and many classes have subtle ways that allow you to play just the character you want - with added rules to help make relatively balanced freestyle options in line with everything else.

Just pick a race, class, and background motivation (or make your own) - there's no wrong answers! Or if you're feeling truly adventurous, have a look at the "Unique Characters" if you're looking to be something a little more exotic, like an Ancient Forgotten War Machine, Tricksome Fairy, or Undead Living Armour!

Why did I make this?

Personally, I love the Troika! system and I feel like it's really adaptable to basically anything, which really appeals to me.  But when I played with my friends, I found that a lot of them really didn't like the science-fantasy theme and ended up coming away feeling a bit underwhelmed with their characters.  Furthermore, I found that not having simple rules even for prices for common things really hampered my ability to have a cohesive world.  I spent several months of my life coming up with more 'Modern Fantasy' counterparts to the 36 basic characters provided in Troika, but in the end, I found that the subtle joy of combining races and classes together was more appealing - so I scrapped all that, started over, and this is the result.

A lot of the fun of Troika! is coming up with your own rules, but, sometimes, that's a lot of work, especially for new GMs.  You can use the tables and rules in this document to start and run short or long campaigns, in any setting.
